I have an allergy or intolerance. What resources are available for me?
University Dining understands the importance of providing balanced and nutritious choices across campus that meet your dietary needs. We have two stations in the McCarthy Dining Commons to meet the needs of those dining with food allergies or intolerances. Simple Servings excludes milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, and gluten from menus, which change for lunch and dinner. This station has its own cookware, oven and stovetops, utensils and service ware as well as storage space to avoid cross-contact. My Zone is a designated area that offers gluten-friendly products and separate equipment for those following a gluten-free lifestyle. The pantry houses products ranging from breads, to condiments, to desserts with precautions to prevent cross-contact. You can also make a free appointment with the Campus Dietitian. She is available to discuss any questions or concerns regarding dining on-campus with food allergies. She will meet with you to discuss your dietary restrictions and help you navigate the McCarthy Dining Commons and other campus restaurants. Contact the Campus Dietitian, Leah Forristall, RD, LDN at Leah.Forristall@sodexo.com
